If a new oil stain appears on your driveway, don’t wait for it to set in; quickly grab some cat litter and address it. First, cover the whole oil stain with a layer of cat litter and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. If the stain is small, 30 minutes should suffice. For larger stains, consider leaving the cat litter on overnight. Then, sweep up the cat litter and get some detergent and a bristle brush. Begin scrubbing the detergent into the oil stain while applying pressure. Rinse off the detergent with water. Repeat the process if needed.
