Eliminate Snags in Woven Rugs to Restore Their New Look


When taking care of snags in your rug, make sure the piece you plan to cut with scissors is at least half an inch long to prevent damaging the rug. Once you find the snags, hold the scissors parallel to the rug and snip them off. Tuck the ends of the cut portion into the surrounding fibers. You may use a small amount of hot glue to secure the ends and conceal them. For longer snags, apply masking tape on either side of the snag to form a channel, then proceed with snipping and gluing.
